At Comprehensive Care Center, we do our very best to help patients along the way. Through preliminary testing blood work and imaging, we start patients on the right path. If indicated we will refer patients to a trusted reproductive endocrinologist. Our staff educates all patients on hormone fluctuations. We provide individualized hormone treatments, fertility drug prescriptions and referrals to reproductive assisted technologists.
Our staff firmly believes that attending annual GYN exams are critical to a woman’s health and well-being. During annual exams, expect an assessment of current health status, breast exam, pelvic exam, and pap smear. We recommend that breast and pelvic exams begin at age 19, and perform pap tests starting at age 21. We provide STD testing, and discuss recommended vaccinations based on age and current health status. We like to meet with adolescents as they enter puberty to discuss body changes, and other adolescent concerns.
Our staff is incredibly knowledgeable in the treatment of menstrual disorders, including yet not limited to: abnormal uterine bleeding, amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, irregular menstrual bleeding, premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). We provide education on how the menstrual cycle works as well as common menstrual disorders. We encourage questions and discussion from our patients to ensure that they leave our practice satisfied.

Abnormal Pap Smear
Our staff understands that having an abnormal pap smear can be an anxiety provoking experience. We explain the significance of the abnormality in detail. We also offer further testing and many treatment options for pre-cancerous conditions of the cervix.
From diaper rash to your daughter’s first period, our team provides specialized education, evaluation and treatment for conditions in babies, children and teens. We focus on the physical, medical, emotional and spiritual needs of young women. Your daughter’s comfort is our primary focus. We have training in LGBTQ healthcare. Our staff is equipped in managing traumatic experiences such as bullying and sexual assault. We have a multi-disciplinary team approach to handling these situations.
Annual/Routine Gynecological Exams
The goal of this exam is to ensure that our patients are maintaining quality sexual and reproductive health. We encourage our patients to bring any questions they may have to this exam. Patients should expect inquiries about their menstrual cycle, sexual history and current contraception use. Our providers will also perform breast and genital exams.
Our staff screens for clue cells in order to determine if bacterial vaginosis is present. If so, we treat patients with medication necessary to treat their infection.
We educate our patients on methods that can be used to treat common symptoms, such as pain, discomfort and fluid/leakage. Our staff is skilled in incision and drainage. Other options offered include word catheter placement, marsupialization and excision of the gland.
We strongly believe in self breast awareness, and strive to educate our patients on this topic, so they are able to perform monthly self-breast exams. We conduct clinical breast exams at every routine visit. Our providers are highly qualified in common breast concerns, such as breast lumps, breast pain and nipple discharge.
We are very comfortable diagnosing cervical cancer. The treatment plan involves consolation with GYN oncology. We assist our patients through treatment decisions as recommended by radiation oncology, medical oncology and the surgeons.
This condition is most common in women aged 40-50 who have given birth to more than one child. Our staff is experienced in surgical removal procedures.

We understand that the common symptoms associated with endometriosis, such as pain, menstrual irregularities and/or painful sexual intercourse can be frustrating. We begin by educating our patients on self-care recommendations. We counsel on medical management options. Our staff is experienced in laparoscopic surgery.
There are many treatment options for management of fibroids. We believe that asymptomatic fibroids should not require any treatments. We monitor them for growth rate and manage expectantly. If patients have symptoms, we have many medical and surgical options to discuss. We begin with the least invasive and can progress up to hysterectomy if indicated. Our staff provides counseling to patients at risk of developing a genetic disorder. During this session, our providers will discuss the nature of the disorder they are at risk for developing, likelihood of developing the disorder as well as available options.
Hysteroscopy (In-office and Outpatient)
Our staff is skilled in this procedure. We will utilize it when diagnosing and treating causes of abnormal bleeding.
Our staff recognizes menopause as a new stage in life. We educate our patients on bodily changes that typically occur during the transition phase leading up to menopause. We stress the fact that symptoms such as fluctuations in sexual desire, night sweats, mood swings and vaginal dryness are common throughout menopause, and we work with patients to treat accordingly.
We help patients who are suffering from conditions such as absence of menses and/or painful menstrual cycles. We perform individual assessment in order to determine which treatment method is best for each patient.
Recognizing that these are chronic conditions, we place our focus on informing patients about proper lifestyle habits. We stress the importance of maintaining a healthy diet, maintaining adequate vitamin intake and engaging in weight-bearing exercises. We work closely with your primary physicians and rheumatologists when medications are indicated.
If this diagnosis is made, we work closely with GYN oncologists on management. We are very experienced with family history of ovarian cancer and monitor these individuals very closely according to the current standards of care.
Most ovarian cysts are benign. We generally monitor with ultrasound however, our staff will assist with preauthorizations and other procedures if MRI or other modalities are needed.
Pap smears are performed at annual exams. We use this test to screen for cervical cancer. We encourage women to attend annual visits to problems can be detected and treated before they develop into cancer. We follow patients with HPV very closely for development of symptoms of pre-cancer. We offer HPV vaccine in office.
Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)
Our staff has extensive experience in PCOS management. Given that this disorder effects multiple organ systems, we work with our patients in making an individualized treatment plan revolving mostly around reproductive systems, but also treating other conditions, such as facial hair growth, inability to lose weight and abnormal lipid profiles, which can cause distress to women.
Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID)
PID is an infection that occurs in a woman’s reproductive organs. It is transmitted sexually, and is often a result of untreated STDs. Our team places emphasis on educating our patients ages 25 and below on PID. We provide sexual health education, such as safe sex recommendations to our patients who develop PID.
Our staff understands that this can be a debilitating experience. Many times the cause is hard to identify, as there are many organ systems in the pelvis. We begin with a thorough examination, and add lab testing/image services when necessary. We refer patients to pelvic floor physical therapy and orthopedic surgery when necessary. Our multidisciplinary reports have outstanding results.
We encourage all women who experience vaginal bleeding after menopause to visit our providers. Our staff places emphasis on the importance of early treatment. We assess each patient and discuss individualized treatment options.
We work with our patients to identify the pattern that the premenstrual symptoms occur in, and identify treatment and lifestyle adjustments accordingly. Our goal is to reduce the physical and emotional distress that patients experience, so they are able to enter their menstrual cycles with ease.
Prolapse (Uterine or Bladder)
Uterine prolapse most commonly occurs in postmenopausal women who have delivered vaginally. We provide weight management for patients in need. We recommend self-care services and utilization of a vaginal pessary. Pelvic floor physical therapy is generally part of our treatment plan. If necessary, we will perform minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery.
Sexually Transmitted Infection Testing & Treatment
We recommend STI testing based on up-to-date CDC guidelines. We perform testing in our office. If a patient receives a positive test, our staff treats accordingly. We place a great emphasis on sexual health education for patients, including the importance of contraception use to prevent future infections.
Urinary Tract Infections (UTI)
Bladder infections are common among women. Symptoms often include: pelvic pain, persistent urge to urinate, pain with urination, and blood in the urine. Our staff prescribes antibiotics to treat this infection and if desired, medication to reduce symptoms.
If this diagnosis is made, we work closely with GYN oncologists on management.
Discharge is a natural occurrence in women. The amount, color and odor of vaginal discharge alters with the menstrual cycle. If patients are concerned about vaginal discharge they have been experiencing, our staff will examine, treat and educate as needed. Patients leave our office with a clear understanding on which forms of discharge are natural vs. which call for concern.
